Supporting Children with Challenging Behaviors

Supporting Children with Challenging Behaviors

The children who need love the most will always ask for it in the most unloving ways
— Russel Barkley

Saturday, February 9th, 4-6pm

Wondering which behaviors are developmentally appropriate?

Tried everything and still seeing (less than ideal) behaviors?

Whether you’ve never dealt with behaviors before or you’ve been working with challenging behaviors your entire career (or life) - this workshop will provide a new lens with which to see children with challenging behaviors.

Children can be exhausting - and children who exhibit challenging behaviors are particularly exhausting - mentally, physically, emotionally exhausting. And they can leave you questioning your sanity as well as your capability.

Through presentation, self-reflection, and discussion, you will leave this workshop with:

  • Up-to-date research about child development (particularly brain development)

  • Explanations for why behaviors occur

  • Next steps! A plan for proactive and reactive solutions to challenging behaviors

  • Confidence, compassion, and community

We’re in it together. Join your tribe to learn, laugh, and love all of the quirky kiddos out there - and the non-quirky ones, too.
